Accounting Intern

Role Description The Accounting Intern role at AMX Money Exchange is an on-site internship based in Malaysia. The intern will assist with daily accounting operations, including preparing and posting journal entries, supporting the preparation and review of financial statements, and reconciling accounts. Responsibilities include updating accounting records, assisting with data entry in accounting software, and helping to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. The intern will collaborate with the finance team to analyze financial data, support reporting activities, and contribute to process improvements. This role offers hands-on exposure to accounting practices in the money services industry and opportunities to learn from experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with financial statements and understand basic finance concepts.
• Familiarity with accounting software and comfort with digital record-keeping tools.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and support reconciliations.
• Available for a minimum of 4 months.
• Available to start immediately.
• Location:KL eco city, easily accessible by lrt/mrt.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Integrity, professionalism, and willingness to learn in a regulated financial services setting.
