Lead a team, responsible for all accounting aspects of revenue project accounting in the SAP project system to ensure compliance with corporate policy and finance standard, including:
ensuring team review the revenue projects established in SAP with the appropriate approval, monitoring the projects for timely capitalization, accurately recording revenue associated with Sale of Equipment projects, handling intercompany project billing,
approving of journal entries
reviewing and approving the balance sheet reconciliations
Coordination with other finance, business, and operation departments to process transactions and review master data, including project cost review.
Supervise team to solve the issues or handle the complex issue in Project realm, identify the potential exposure and work on remediation plan.
Identify root cause and drive process improvements to rectify errors and process gaps.
Supervise the team to deliver the results and meet deadlines.
Coach and train the subordinates, develop the people and the team.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting and finance (or equivalent), the professional accounting qualification is the plus . It is an added advantage if incumbent has a postgraduate qualification in Accounting or business management.
Strong foundation in accounting principles and practices; knowledge of US GAAP and SOX standards is a plus, SAP knowledge and experience is necessary
Related general accounting experience and knowledge in the areas of Project Accounting for more than 5 years is expected. A basic understanding of the shared service environment is a plus.
The Incumbent is expected to have over 5 years relevant work experience in financial accounting area and proficiency in costing accounting with broad and deep experience build on accounting and application knowledge.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, strong desire to learn, independent initiative, customer focus, adaptability to change, and a proven ability to effectively analyze and solve the problems in the daily operation.
With experience in managing a team from his/her prior supervisory experience in some related but varied functions
Additional language skill (e.g. Mandarin, Spanish etc) is a plus
Additional automation skills (eg: Qlik Sense, QlikView, BW, Python, VBA, etc.) is a plus
