About the Role

As an Assistant Manager, Account, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and the efficiency of accounting operations.You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing daily ledger activities, and supporting the implementation of automated financial processes to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts and annual financial statements in compliance with MPERS, MFRS, or IFRS.
  • Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts, perform variance analysis, and provide financial insights.
  • Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, intercompany, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including the review of tax computations and submissions.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Enhance internal control systems and drive continuous improvement for financial processes and policies.
  • Assist in the creation of new processes and system implementations, including automation projects.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Perform related assignments or ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager or senior management.

What We're Looking For:

  • Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; professional certificates such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are a plus.
  • Experience:At least 6 years of working experience in finance and accounting.
  • Industry Background:Experience in brokerage, financial services, or fintech is preferred.
  • Leadership:Proven experience in managing or leading a small finance team.
  • Technical Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiar with accounting software.
  • Competencies:Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous and highly organized approach.
  • Attributes:Ability to take initiative, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and act as a strong team player.
  • Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
