We are looking for an Accounts Executive to support the finance function across our group of companies. This role is suited for someone who is detail-oriented, disciplined, and consistent, with a strong sense of responsibility and good follow-through.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting monthly closing, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external parties (e.g., auditors, company secretary) to ensure timely and compliant finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
1) Accounting & Finance Operations
- Handle full set of accounts (or partial set depending on experience and entity needs)
- Perform bank reconciliations, ledger entries, and ensure clean, accurate records
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (invoicing, collections follow-up, vendor payments)
- Support month-end closing, schedules, and management reporting
- Manage staff claims and payment processing (with proper documentation and approvals)
- Maintain proper filing and documentation for audit and internal reference
- Assist with tax and statutory matters as required (SST/PCB/EPF/SOCSO/EIS where applicable)
2) Audit & External Coordination
- Coordinate with auditors and prepare supporting schedules and documents
- Liaise with company secretary on basic corporate filings and statutory documents
- Ensure corporate and finance records are maintained in an organised and retrievable manner
3) Process & Documentation
- Support the upkeep of internal finance SOPs, trackers, and documentation
- Recommend improvements to strengthen controls, reduce errors, and improve turnaround time
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 25+ years relevant experience (agency/group structure exposure is an advantage)
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks / Xero is a plus)
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Careful, consistent, and able to work with deadlines
- Able to communicate clearly and follow up professionally with internal teams and vendors
- High integrity and strong confidentiality
