We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced financial reporting and accounting manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, SST, banking procedures, and reasonable knowledge in tax, relevant legislations and Company Law, as well as experience with financial reporting and analysis.
We are a professional service firm that provides accounting and advisory services to our portfolio of clients. This role is to fill our client facing accounting management role. He or she shall be an advisor to a portfolio of clients in accounting and finance matters, including coaching and train the accounts staff to perform accounting tasks for clients companies.
The person shall have good communication skills, multi-lingual is an added advantage as our clients are mainly SMEs in Malaysia.
Main job scopes
- Manage a portfolio of clients and their set of accounts
- Review client's accounts prepared by the team
- Resource planning and job allocation
- Coach and train staff to be competent in their jobs
- Review jobs done client's staff
- Monitor staff performance
- Monitor work in progress, ensure jobs are completed within timeline
- Communicate with clients on their accounting and tax issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in financial reporting and accounting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ACCA/ CIMA/ CPA/ CA a plus, but not compulsory
