The Accounts Manager role is a key position for an experienced accounting professional who is ready to oversee finance, administration and HR-related matters for the Malaysia branch. This role offers broad responsibility, close interaction with senior management and coordination with the headquarters in Japan.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage administrative operations for the Malaysia branch
- Handle accounting and finance matters, including budgeting, bookkeeping, monthly and yearly closing, and liaison with auditors and tax agents
- Support the Managing Director in operational, administrative and financial matters
- Coordinate and liaise with the headquarters in Japan to ensure smooth communication and reporting
- Prepare reports and presentations using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including financial summaries, operational updates and performance analyses
- Manage office policies, procedures and compliance with local regulations
- Handle vendor management, contracts, procurement processes, cost control and support HR-related matters such as recruitment, payroll coordination and employee welfare
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Experience in handling HR and administration would be an added advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for report preparation and data presentation
- Strong leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills
