Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounts & Tax Associate in Kuala Lumpur. The Accounts & Tax Associate will be responsible for tax compliance, preparation, and law, as well as finance-related tasks.

  • Efficiently manage the registration process for both individual and company taxes, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulations.
  • Skillfully drafted and prepared various correspondence to the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN), demonstrating professionalism and expertise in tax matters.
  • Proactively send reminders for tax installment payments, CP204 submissions, and important due dates to facilitate timely compliance for both individual and company clients.
  • Prepare, submit, and email Form BE to individual clients and Form B to company clients with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Diligently maintain and update tax listings for both individual and company clients, ensuring comprehensive documentation and accurate record-keeping.
  • Prepare for and assist in the revision of CP500 (CP502) documents, maintaining meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all tax-related tasks.
  • Provide assistance with ad-hoc tasks such as clerical matters to support the smooth functioning of the tax department.
  • Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn new knowledge and skills relevant to taxation and accounting, staying updated with industry trends and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • At least 2 years experience in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Professional certification (such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA) is a plus
