The incumbent is responsible to assist the Actuarial Manager/ Senior Manager to provide support in relation to the Participating Fund management in line with Internal Par Governance Policy.

Actuarial knowledge and skills are necessary in various aspects of insurance business, e.g. product design and pricing, analysis of the company's claims, persistency and expense experience, arrangement of reinsurance, calculation of reserves, capital and profit reporting under various regulatory bases.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Support the management of participating fund and annual bonus recommendation, including the annual bonus declaration study and implementation.

2. Perform various modeling operations to regularly monitor the position of participating fund.

3. Support impact analysis with regards to different capital management plan and asset-liability management initiatives.

3. Understand the product features and bonus mechanism of participating products.

4. Provide support on ad hoc enquiry on participating policies.

5. Assist in preparing documentation of justifications or processes.

Job Specification:

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or other physical sciences or numerate discipline

2. Graduate with 1 - 3 years experience.

2. Good progress in actuarial exams.

Knowledge & Experience:

1. Good technical, analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to work independently.

2. Experience with data processing software e.g. Prophet, SQL, VBA, C++ and/or other programming languages.

3. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with other MS Office applications.

4. Good understand of the life insurance business, with the ability to communicate technical knowledge across all departments and at all levels.

5. Meticulous and self-motivated, with the ability to work under pressure.
