Event Management & Coordination Skills

  • Strong event planning capabilities for corporate functions, conferences, and client entertainment
  • Excellent organizational skills coordinating multiple vendors, timelines, and logistics simultaneously

  • Focus on seamless event execution and guest satisfaction

Vendor Management & Negotiation Skills

  • Proven experience managing relationships with Malaysian service providers
  • Understanding of local market conditions for soft services procurement
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure cost-effective contracts while maintaining quality
  • Experience with vendor performance monitoring and SLA management

Communication & Cultural Competency

  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia essential
  • Understanding of Malaysian cultural sensitivities and business entertainment customs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and coordinate events appropriately

Technical & Administrative Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with event management software and vendor management platforms
  • Strong project management capabilities using planning tools and ticketing systems

Customer Service Excellence

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for professional interaction with employees, clients, and service providers
  • Strong customer service orientation focused on positive experiences
  • Ability to handle last-minute changes and challenging situations with diplomacy and professionalism

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Malaysian identification
  • Flexibility to work extended hours during events and special functions
  • Physical capability to oversee event setup and coordinate on-site logistics
  • Professional appearance appropriate for client-facing events and vendor interactions
  • Female candidate preferred

Health & Safety Knowledge

  • Understanding of Malaysian health regulations and food safety requirements
  • Knowledge of workplace hygiene standards
  • Familiarity with event safety protocols and emergency procedures
  • Experience with waste management systems and environmental compliance

Education & Experience Required

  • Diploma in Event Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities management, event coordination, or hospitality services
  • Experience specifically within Malaysian commercial office environment
  • Proven track record managing soft services operations and corporate events
