Job Summary
This internship role will support MRANTI's AgriTech, Life Science ecosystem communications and data management efforts. This role provides hands-on exposure to Malaysia's agritech and food security innovation landscape, with a focus on newsletter content support, agritech company database cleaning, and ecosystem mapping.
Job Responsibilities
Newsletter & Content Support
- Assist in drafting, editing and formatting content for agritech and food security newsletters.
- Support compilation of ecosystem highlights, programme updates, startup features and event summaries.
- Assist in preparing simple visuals, tables and content layouts for communications materials
Database Cleaning & Ecosystem Mapping
- Clean, update and maintain agritech company databases i.e., startups, SMEs, technology providers, research spin-offs.
- Verify and standardise company information i.e., technology focus, subsector, location, maturity stage, contact details.
- Categorise agritech players by subsector i.e., crops, seeds, mechanisation, IoT, post-harvest, foodtech.
- Support ecosystem mapping and basic data analysis for internal reporting and planning.
Research & Data Support
- Conduct desktop research on agritech companies, programmes and ecosystem trends.
- Assist in summarising findings for internal briefs, presentations and reports.
- Support ad-hoc data and research requests related to agritech, food security, and sustainability initiatives.
Job Requirement
- Final-year undergraduate student or equivalent in Agriculture / Aquaculture / Forestry, Science & Technology or other relevant field of studies
- Good research, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
