Role description

At Qarbotech, we pioneer science-driven microalgae cultivation to boost agricultural productivity and sustainability. We are seeking a hands-on Microalgae Cultivation & Trial Operations Executive to lead cultivation systems, manage experimental trials, and transform research insights into practical solutions. This role blends laboratory precision, field operations, and collaborative R&D to deliver measurable impact on crop performance, resource optimization, and innovation in sustainable farming.

What You Will Do

• Lead end-to-end microalgae cultivation activities, including culture preparation, growth monitoring, harvesting, and post-cultivation processing
• Design, execute, and coordinate experimental trials, including evaluation of new materials (e.g., CQD)
• Collect, analyse, and interpret cultivation and trial data to provide actionable insights for process improvement
• Collaborate closely with R&D to refine and optimize product applications for local conditions
• Provide technical support and practical solutions for cultivation and trial challenges
• Ensure proper documentation, process control, and compliance with quality and scientific standards
• Prepare structured reports and share findings with stakeholders and team members

What We're Looking For:

• Diploma in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Aquaculture, Biotechnology, or related field
• Strong understanding of microalgae cultivation, laboratory practices, and experimental trials
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven mindset
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to present findings clearly
• Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and Microsoft Office
• Willingness to be based in Tawau or Kunak, Sabah, with potential relocation to Kota Kinabalu upon completion of the trial phase.
