AI Governance Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the company's AI governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures to ensure responsible AI usage.
• Review AI initiatives throughout their lifecycle to ensure they comply with internal governance standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with stakeholders to identify potential AI-related risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Promote awareness of AI governance by conducting training sessions and educational programmes across the organisation.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for management and internal governance committees.
• Support regulatory engagements by coordinating responses to enquiries, consultations, and compliance requirements related to AI governance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Risk, Compliance, Legal, Information Security, and Business to ensure AI initiatives align with governance standards.
• Keep up to date with emerging AI regulations, industry developments, and best practices, and recommend improvements to existing governance processes.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Artificial Intelligence, Technology, or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in risk management, legal, regulatory compliance, or technology risk.
• Experience in areas such as AI governance, data protection, or intellectual property is an advantage.
• Good understanding of regulatory frameworks and data protection laws (e.g., PDPA, GDPR, EU AI Act).
• Prior experience in financial services, digital, or fintech environment is preferred.
• Basic understanding of AI concepts and their application in business.
