We're building a cutting-edge AI chat commerce platform for a major enterprise retail client - think WhatsApp meets AI shopping assistant meets luxury e-commerce. This is production AI, not a prototype. Real customers, real transactions, real impact.

The Technical Challenge: We're building an orchestra agent model where a main chat agent coordinates with specialized sub-agents (product info, inventory, promotions, guardrails). You'll be defining how these agents work together, what data they need, and how they're trained through our admin panel.

Role Overview

We need an AI Product Manager who can bridge the gap between our enterprise retail client's business stakeholders and our development team. You'll be the translator who converts we want AI to help customers into actual product specifications that engineers can build.

What You'll Actually Do

Stakeholder Management (50%)

  • Interface with client's customer service, brand, and product teams
  • Conduct discovery sessions to understand pain points and requirements
  • Convert verbal feedback, spreadsheets, and slide decks into clear technical specifications
  • Filter noise and translate stakeholder wants into actionable product objectives
  • Manage expectations and keep stakeholders aligned on what's possible with AI

AI Product Development (40%)

  • Define and refine prompts for different agent types (chat, product info, guardrail)
  • Become power user of our AI admin panel - this is your prompt engineering playground
  • Make data and prompt adjustments based on stakeholder feedback and performance metrics
  • Train and tune AI agents using the admin interface
  • Define what data gets pulled from e-commerce platform and how agents use it
  • Test agent responses and iterate on behavior
  • Document processes so client team can eventually self-serve

Product Strategy & Planning (10%)

  • Work with engineering lead to refine PRDs and technical requirements
  • Participate in sprint planning and feature prioritization
  • Help define rollout phases and success metrics
  • Create training materials and documentation
Who This Role Is For

Must Have:

  • Product management or engineering background (2-3+ years)
  • Experience working with non-technical stakeholders who don't know what they want yet
  • Ability to convert ambiguous requests into concrete requirements
  • Strong written communication (you'll be writing prompts and documentation daily)
  • Comfortable with technical interfaces and learning new tools quickly
  • Genuine interest in AI - you should be excited about LLMs and their applications

Nice to Have:

  • E-commerce or retail experience
  • Any exposure to AI/LLM projects, ChatGPT, Claude, or chatbot implementations
  • Experience with Shopify or similar platforms
  • Background in customer service or CX
  • Previous agency or client-facing work
  • Coding background (helpful but not required)
