Analyst (Mandarin Speaker)

PSA is currently seeking an Analyst (Mandarin speaker) to join our Kuala Lumpur office. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, especially if they have experience with writing and research.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Conduct online media and social media research in English and Mandarin.
2. Effectively collect, collate and analyze data.
3. Write, package and edit reports in English, based on research carried out including research by other team members.
4. Maintain accurate records of project related tasks.
5. Manage and respond to project related tasks and communications (including emails).
6. Prepare and conduct interviews with subject matter experts.
7. Accurately monitor project budgets.

Minimum qualifications and requirements:

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in the social sciences.
• Professional fluency (both written and spoken) in English and Mandarin.
• Academic and/or work experience in the fields of political and/or social analysis, investigations or other related field of research.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and adept at online research.
• Strong level of attention to details and good analytical skills.
• Excellent written communication skills and must be able to produce professional-level research and reports in English.
• Professional and motivated self-starter capable of delivering well researched documents with minimum supervision.
• Project management skills and the ability to work effectively either independently or as part of a team.
• Able to manage multiple competing deadlines and effectively prioritize workload to deliver project deadlines.
