Role Overview:
We are looking for a creative and culturally aware specialist in Marketing Communications (Bahasa Malaysia) to join our team. This role focuses on crafting clear, relatable, and engaging Bahasa Malaysia content that connects with everyday Malaysians across both urban and non-urban communities.
The ideal candidate understands how people communicate in daily life, especially within grassroots communities. You are skilled at translating complex ideas into simple, relatable messages that resonate with broad audiences across different backgrounds and locations.
What You'll Do:
- Develop clear and engaging Bahasa Malaysia copy for marketing campaigns across multiple channels including digital, social media, key visuals, and on-ground activations.
- Translate complex financial or product messages into simple and relatable Bahasa Malaysia that is easy for everyday Malaysians to understand and relate to.
- Ensure messaging connects with grassroots communities and audiences in non urban areas.
- Collaborate with designers, brand, and marketing teams to develop ideas that combine strong visuals with impactful copy.
- Support marketing communications campaigns including campaign messaging, content development, and communication planning.
- Adapt tone and messaging based on channel, context, and audience to maximise clarity and engagement.
- Research audience insights, language trends, and cultural nuances to ensure copy remains relevant and authentic.
- Support campaign ideation and brainstorming to develop creative concepts that resonate with everyday Malaysians.
- Maintain consistency with brand voice while ensuring content feels natural and relatable.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in copywriting, advertising, and digital marketing to continuously improve campaign effectiveness.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- 2 - 3 years of experience in marketing communications, content, or copywriting roles.
- Excellent writing skills in Bahasa Malaysia, with strong ability to write in a natural and conversational tone.
- Strong ability to simplify complex ideas into clear and easy to understand messages.
- Good understanding of how people communicate across different community and digital platforms.
- Ability to adapt tone and style based on audience and channel.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely with creative and marketing teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
