Job Summary
The Project Associate is responsible to support the Policy & Sustainability function through research, documentation, coordination, and administrative assistance. The role focuses on providing analytical and operational support to policy initiatives, sustainability programmes, and stakeholder engagements under the guidance of the Manager and Senior Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct structured research and basic analysis on national and international policy developments related to science, technology, innovation, and sustainability.
- Support data collection related to organisational ESG priorities and national policies development and management.
- Assist in preparing briefs, reports, presentations, and internal papers for MRANTI Sustainability Committees.
- Support documentation and record-keeping of the Department's engagements, meetings, and stakeholder interactions.
- Coordinate logistics and materials for meetings, workshops, and stakeholder sessions.
- Assist in tracking action items, timelines, and deliverables for ongoing policy and sustainability initiatives.
- Prepare draft correspondence, minutes of meetings, and internal communications as required.
- Provide general administrative and ad-hoc support to the Manager and Senior Manager.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in any field. Graduates from Public Policy, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Science & Technology, or related disciplines are encouraged to apply, but candidates from other fields with a strong interest in these areas are also welcome.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Relevant internship, university projects, or extracurricular experience will be an added advantage.
- An interest in policy research, sustainability, ESG, and innovation, with the ability to gather information, conduct research, and present findings in a structured manner.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, briefing notes, presentations, and other supporting documents.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks, maintain documentation, and meet deadlines.
- A collaborative team player who is comfortable supporting engagements with stakeholders from government agencies, industry, academia, and other partners.
- Basic understanding of sustainability and ESG concepts is an advantage. A willingness to learn about sustainability frameworks, policies, and emerging trends is equally valued.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Familiarity with research, presentation, or data analysis tools is an added advantage.
- A proactive, detail-oriented individual with a positive attitude, strong learning agility, and eagerness to contribute in a dynamic environment.
