Analyst

PSA is currently seeking for Analysts to join our Kuala Lumpur office. Applications from graduates as well as more experienced analysts are welcome. Due to the international nature of the work, additional languages are an advantage but not essential.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Collect, record, and analyze data from online media and social media research.
2. Conducts comprehensive background checks and risk assessments on individuals, businesses, or transactions.
3. Write, package and edit reports in English, based on own research and/or research carried out by other team members.
4. Maintain accurate records of project related tasks.
5. Manage and respond to project related tasks and communications (including emails).
6. Prepare and/or conduct interviews with subject matter experts.

Minimum qualifications and requirements:

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in the social sciences.
• Professional fluency (both written and spoken) in English. We value multilingual candidates.
• Academic and/or work experience in the fields of political and/or social analysis, investigations or other related field of research.
• Strong level of attention to details and good analytical skills.
• Excellent written communication skills and must be able to produce professional-level research and reports.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and adept at online research.
• Professional and motivated self-starter capable of delivering well researched documents with minimum supervision.
• Project management skills and the ability to work effectively either independently or as part of a team.
• Able to manage multiple competing deadlines and to effectively prioritize workload to deliver to deadline on projects.
