Role Description The Animal Science role is a full-time position based in Bukit Mertajam with a hybrid working arrangement that allows some work from home. The role involves overseeing animal husbandry practices, monitoring animal health and welfare, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Daily tasks include collecting and analyzing data on animal performance, assisting in feed formulation and nutrition planning, and supporting disease prevention and biosecurity measures. The team member will collaborate with farm staff and management to optimize productivity, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement best practices in animal care. The role may also include preparing reports, maintaining accurate records, and participating in training or continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Knowledge of animal science, animal husbandry, or veterinary-related disciplines, with the ability to apply scientific principles to practical farm operations.
Experience in animal health monitoring, welfare assessment, and basic biosecurity and disease prevention practices.
Ability to collect, interpret, and report data related to animal performance, feed usage, and farm productivity.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to work effectively with farm personnel, management, and external partners.
Relevant academic background such as a diploma or degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, Agriculture, or a related field.
Comfort with hybrid work arrangements, including time spent on-site in Bukit Mertajam and remote work when appropriate.
Attention to detail, commitment to safety, and willingness to follow company policies and industry standards.
Prior experience in livestock or poultry operations is an advantage but not mandatory.
