Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Close Activities
- Serve as the APAC BlackLine Administrator, supporting key modules including Reconciliations, Journals, Matching, and Task Management.
- Coordinate and review quarterly financial reporting submissions from APAC countries.
- Review inventory Excess & Obsolescence (E&O) provisions and partner with Operations teams to monitor trends against actual scrap activity.
- Monitor Purchase Price Variance (PPV) postings and investigate significant variances with local and global stakeholders.
- Support and document month-end control activities related to Product Related Fixed Assets (PRFA).
- Review lease accounting requests to ensure compliance with US GAAP requirements.
- Manage monthly headcount reporting uploads in SAP.
- Partner with the APAC Controllers Network to identify, prioritize, and implement process improvement opportunities.
- Drive initiatives focused on enhancing efficiency, strengthening controls, standardizing processes, and improving stakeholder experience.
- Support regional transformation projects involving BlackLine and OpenText solutions, including automation and process optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and implement system or process enhancements.
- Ensure process updates are documented and continuously improved based on stakeholder feedback.
- Lead the preparation and consolidation of Singapore Group Statutory Accounts.
- Support corporate tax reporting and calculations in partnership with global tax teams.
- Coordinate regional tax, transfer pricing, and audit requirements across APAC markets to ensure timely compliance with corporate deadlines.
- Lead and coordinate self-assessment controls reviews across APAC entities.
- Drive regular Travel & Entertainment (T&E) analytics reviews.
- Support account reconciliation governance and review activities across the region.
- Coordinate master data review and clean-up initiatives, including vendor, customer, credit, and pricing master data.
- Act as a key APAC contact for finance policies, delegated authority frameworks, and control governance requirements.
- Serve as the APAC point of contact for Governance and Approval-related requests.
- Participate in regional and global finance projects as required.
- Support ad hoc initiatives and continuous improvement activities across the finance organization.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 5 to 8 years of accounting or finance experience within a multinational organization.
- Minimum 3 years of regional APAC experience with exposure to multiple stakeholders and markets.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience with SAP is required; exposure to BlackLine and OpenText is highly advantageous.
- Medical device or healthcare industry experience is preferred but not essential.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
