Description
Prepare tax computations for agreed direct and indirect taxes in accordance with established tax procedures.
Prepare direct and indirect tax returns and submit them to the geo tax team for review and filing according to the agreed timeline.
Prepare and finalize annual statutory tax reports and internal tax reporting requirements.
Execute internal tax reporting activities, including forecasting, analysis, and tax provisioning.
Monitor tax regulation updates and developments in the assigned markets on a weekly basis.
Collaborate with geo tax teams on tax planning initiatives and tax risk management.
Coordinate cross-functional projects across the Asia Pacific zone and relevant markets.
Conduct independent tax analysis and tax-related research.
Support geo tax teams with routine transfer pricing documentation.
Perform adhoc TPrelated tasks, including special projects and benchmark studies.
Profile
A Successful Tax Manager Should Have
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in tax software and financial systems.
