Purpose of the position
The incumbent will lead the development of the Chemical and Energy inclusive water market segment in Malaysia, delivering customized gas application solutions to both existing and prospective customers. This role is pivotal in driving market penetration and customer value through technical excellence and strategic engagement.
This role requires a strong blend of technical knowledge, market insight, and project management capabilities to drive growth and customer satisfaction within the targeted industry segments.
Principal responsibilities
Promote the sales of gas application technology to capture and develop the gases business.
Acquiring of technology and transfer/applies this advantage to our customers.
Understand, design, negotiate and implement technical solutions to new/existing customers in collaboration with local sales team
Ensure that all activities meet and integrate with both customer requirements for health and safety, legal, environment policies and general duty of care, eg: HAZOP's risk assessments, method statements and Linde Codes of Practice
Provide appropriate feedback, direct customer experience and new ideas to the team
Work with our local marketing and sales team to identify local market opportunities.

Keep abreast of market changes and requirements
Understanding customer's industry, process and needs
Study and present our solutions to customer. Conduct joint development demonstration
Introduce relevant technologies to existing customers
Understand how our technologies would apply and appeal to our customers
Joint development and presentation with Linde Group support
Conduct feasibility studies of new gas applications into existing industrial process
To demonstrate and quantify benefits as a result of applying Linde's technology
Retrofit designs of existing installations based on customer's request
Involve all relevant parties early with clear task and constantly review of task
Coordinate activities for both Linde and customers
Ensure good control of safety and cost
Prepare technical proposal and report
Proper documentations of projects eg: Visits/feasibility study report, technical calculations etc
Make technical reference eg: Equipment training material available
Liaise with Linde Group for technology transfer
Realistic assumption, in the absence of data, during design stage
Manage and monitor project safety, cost and schedule.

Required key skills (functional/technical)
Over 3 years of technical experience, with a strong foundation in engineering or industrial operations.
Solid understanding of the industrial products market, with relevant experience preferred.
Proven ability to work independently and take proactive initiative in driving tasks and solving problems.
Strong people management and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and team performance.
Demonstrated commercial acumen, aligning technical solutions with business goals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, suitable for cross-functional and client-facing interactions
Required qualifications/experience
Typically, 3+ years experience in technical related field and account management
Qualified Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
