Role Summary
We are looking for an Application Solution Architect to support pre-sales and application modernization initiatives on AWS. This is a client-facing role where you will help customers modernize legacy applications into cloud-native solutions, define technical roadmaps, and support the sales process with strong technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Solution Design
- Work with customers to understand business needs, technical challenges, and modernization goals
- Design high-level AWS architectures and future-state solutions
- Support RFP/RFI responses, including technical documentation, SOWs, and effort estimates
- Build and present Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and solution demos
Application Modernization
- Guide customers through application modernization strategies using the AWS 6Rs
- Design approaches to modernize monolithic applications into microservices
- Implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, EKS, and ECS
Technical Leadership
- Define phased migration and modernization roadmaps
- Provide guidance on DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation best practices
- Communicate effectively with both business stakeholders and engineering teams
Required Experience & Skills
- 812+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years as a Solution Architect
- Hands-on experience modernizing legacy applications (Java, .NET, Mainframe)
- Strong experience designing AWS-based solutions
Certifications
- Required: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
- Preferred: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional or AWS Certified Security Specialty
