Job Title: Application Support Engineer

Contract Duration: 12 Months (Extendable)

Work Schedule: Rotational shifts including off-hours, weekends, and on-call standby
Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive Application Support Engineer to provide operational support for business applications. The role involves monitoring incidents, troubleshooting issues, performing minor fixes, and collaborating with internal teams and vendors to ensure system stability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor application alerts and triage incidents, assigning or resolving issues as required.
- Perform minor code fixes and configuration changes to support application stability.
- Write and execute SQL queries for troubleshooting, analysis, and data validation.
- Participate in monthly OS patch validation and post-patch testing to ensure application compatibility.
- Work closely with Service Desk teams and external vendors for incident escalation and resolution.
- Support incident management processes to maintain system availability and performance.
- Provide timely updates and maintain proper documentation for support activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2 4 years of experience in Application Support or related IT support roles.
- Basic programming knowledge in Java, .NET, or similar technologies.
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries for troubleshooting and analysis.
- Familiarity with ITIL Incident Management processes.
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or similar platforms.
- Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
- Ability to work in rotational shifts and provide on-call support when required.
