Job Description

Motul Malaysia is expanding, and we are looking for passionate sales professionals to join us in the next phase of our growth.

As we continue to strengthen our presence in Malaysia, we are developing and expanding our direct sales team for the Motorcycle Oil (MCO) category.

As the Area Sales Executive / Senior Executive, you will play a key role in driving the growth and expansion of Motul across Malaysia. You will be responsible for achieving revenue and business development targets for the automotive lubricants business, with a strong focus on the Motorcycle Oil category.

You will manage and develop existing and new direct retail accounts, customers and sales channels within your designated territory, while continuously identifying new market opportunities through prospecting and business development. You will work closely with the National Sales Manager and Sales & Marketing teams to strengthen Motul's market presence and develop our direct business.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Manage and grow direct retail accounts, workshops, dealers and other relevant sales channels within the assigned territory.
  • Drive sales growth and achieve assigned revenue, volume and distribution targets.
  • Identify and develop new customers, business opportunities and sales channels to strengthen Motul's presence in the Motorcycle Oil (MCO) category.
  • Work closely with the National Sales Manager to support territory planning, network expansion and customer development.
  • Conduct regular market visits to strengthen customer relationships, identify commercial opportunities and understand market needs.
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing and customer feedback, and provide recommendations to improve business performance.
  • Plan and support local sales, trade marketing and promotional activities together with the Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Provide customers with product information, commercial support, training coordination and assistance in resolving sales or service-related matters.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, market updates and account development plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Customer Operations and Supply Chain to ensure smooth execution and customer support.
  • Participate in customer events, exhibitions, dealer activities and other brand activation initiatives where required.
  • Support other sales activities, projects and responsibilities as assigned by the National Sales Manager or Management.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of sales or business development experience, preferably within the automotive lubricants, motorcycle, automotive aftermarket, automotive parts, FMCG distribution or other related industries.
  • Candidates with experience in the Motorcycle Oil (MCO), motorcycle aftermarket, two-wheeler, lubricant or automotive-related industry will have an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of field sales, territory management and the development of retail or distribution networks.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and translate market opportunities into sustainable business growth.
  • Self-driven, commercially minded and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence customers, dealers, business partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to analyse sales performance, customer trends and market information and translate findings into practical actions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Good command of written and conversational English. Ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and/or local languages or dialects would be advantageous.
