The Area Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales growth within the assigned territory through active market development, customer acquisition, and relationship management. This role focuses on expanding market presence, opening new accounts, and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers to achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities1. Market Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow market share within the assigned area.
- Identify new market opportunities, potential segments, and emerging customer needs.
- Conduct regular market visits to understand competitor activities, pricing, and promotions.
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to management to support product positioning and business planning.
- Build brand awareness and product presence in the assigned territory.
2. Customer Acquisition (New Account)
- Actively prospect and recruit new customers to expand the company's customer base.
- Identify, approach, and onboard new accounts.
- Present products, pricing, and promotions to potential customers and negotiate sales terms.
- Ensure proper documentation and setup of new accounts in accordance with company procedures.
3. Sales & Relationship Management
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers to maximise sales potential.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs.
- Ensure timely collection of payments in accordance with credit terms.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
4. Reporting & Administration
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and activity updates.
- Maintain accurate records of customer visits, sales activities, and market feedback.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
Job Requirements- Minimum SPM or Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Candidates with prior experience in area sales, field sales, or business development will have an added advantage.
- Fresh graduates with a strong interest in sales and market development are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new markets and actively acquire new customers.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting customer relationships.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
