With a growing footprint across AsiaPacific, they are expanding their commercial team and seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive market growth and strengthen customer relationships.As the Area Sales Manager, you'll take full commercial ownership of your assigned international markets-working closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to expand market presence and support the growth of specialised energy products. This is a strategic, customerfacing role suited for someone who enjoys a blend of technical sales, market development, and relationship management.

Job Description

  • Manage all commercial activities within your assigned markets, ensuring strong sales performance and alignment with business goals.
  • Understand the evolving energy landscape in your territory to make informed strategic decisions and identify new opportunities.
  • Oversee sales and distribution channels, including resellers and partners, to maximise reach and profitability.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with customers through proactive prospecting, networking, and regular visits.
  • Deliver product presentations and conduct training for customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Support quotation preparation, track ongoing projects, and ensure timely followups.
  • Manage customer issues and complaints to ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Organise and participate in customer events to enhance brand presence.
  • Prepare reports, including visit summaries, market insights, and sales forecasts.
  • Collaborate closely with global sales teams and subsidiaries to ensure seamless coordination.

The Successful Applicant


A Successful Area Sales Manager Should Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or International Business.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience-preferably in power transmission, distribution, or related technical industries.
  • Strong relationshipbuilding skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to communicate valuebased solutions and articulate how products address customer needs.
  • Strong research skills to prepare effectively before client meetings.
  • Selfmotivated, targetdriven, and comfortable working with customers, partners, and crossfunctional teams.
  • High numerical accuracy, integrity, and strong organisational skills.
  • Able to work independently, adapt to shifting priorities, and manage deadlines.
  • Willing to travel extensively across local and international markets.
  • Excellent presentation skills and strong command of English; additional Asian languages are an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; SAP or Salesforce experience is a plus.
