Area Sales Manager – Business Unit Poultry (Asia Coverage)

📍 Based in Bukit Raja, Klang, Malaysia | 💼 Full-Time, Permanent | ✈ Travel up to 60%

Role Overview

We are hiring an Area Sales Manager (BU Poultry) to lead sales activities across Bangladesh, with potential coverage expansion to other Asian markets. The role is highly focused on new business development, while also managing key client relationships and resolving customer challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business growth through new client acquisition, market expansion, and long-term profitable sales.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and refine sales strategies.
  • Develop and execute annual sales operating plans, track performance against sales budgets, and prepare performance reports.
  • Work closely with the Sales Director to set pricing strategies and advise on market entry plans.
  • Manage and optimize the agent/distributor network within assigned markets.
  • Provide technical sales advice on farm design/layout and ensure competitive solutions are offered to investors.
  • Actively participate in trade shows, product launches, and marketing initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, resolving issues to ensure satisfaction and long-term loyalty.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or Animal Production (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in investment goods, with proven track record as a Sales Manager (P&L responsibility preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to grow new business and achieve sales targets.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (60% across Asia, including Bangladesh).
  • Excellent communication in English.

Must-Have Qualities

  • Aggressive and driven in achieving sales targets.
  • Relevant industry or investment goods experience.
  • Proven achievement numbers on CV (sales growth, new business, etc.).


Work Arrangement

  • Based in Klang, Malaysia (Bukit Raja office).

• • Core hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm (WFO, no WFH).
