Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled AS400 (IBM i) Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support applications on the IBM i platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in RPG programming, CL, and DB2, along with a solid understanding of legacy system modernization and integration.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain applications on the AS400 / IBM i platform
Write and optimize programs using RPG (RPG III / RPG IV / RPGLE / Free Format RPG)
Develop and maintain CL programs and job control processes
Work with DB2/400 for database design, queries, and performance tuning
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner
Perform code reviews, testing, and documentation
Support system integration with external applications and APIs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts and QA

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience in AS400 / IBM i development
Proficiency in RPGLE, CLLE, and DB2/400
Experience with SQL on IBM i
Knowledge of file structures, logical/physical files
Familiarity with job scheduling and batch processing
Good understanding of system debugging and performance tuning
Experience in maintaining and enhancing legacy systems
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
