AS400 Developer

Role : AS400 Developer

Location : Kuala Lumpur

Payroll : Skill Quotient Group 

Experience : 5+ years in AS400

Duration: 1 year extendable contract

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain clean code using modern and legacy RPG programming languages on IBM i (AS/400)
• Manage end-to-end technical delivery for banking workflows, including customer information files (CIF), loan processing, transaction posting, and regulatory reporting
• Design and tune database objects using DB2 for i, writing efficient embedded SQL statements (SQLRPGLE)
• System Integration: Integrate core AS/400 environments with external channels, web services, or data pipelines via secure file transfers

Skills required:

• Primary Skills: Platforms & OS: Deep working knowledge of IBM i (AS/400) architecture, library structures, subsystems, and job definitions.
• Languages: RPG IV, RPGLE, Free-Format RPG, SQLRPGLE, CL/400
• Database: DB2 for i / DB2/400 design and performance tuning.
• Secondary Skills: AWS experience
