Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience in COBOL development on AS400 / IBM i platform
Experience working with EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) environments
Knowledge of DevOps practices and release management processes
Hands-on experience with ALDON for application lifecycle management and software deployment
Good understanding of SQL and DB2 databases, including query writing and performance optimization
Experience in application support, maintenance, enhancement, and troubleshooting activities
Familiarity with JIRA for incident, change, and project tracking
Exposure to banking, payments, or financial services applications is highly preferred
Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and support COBOL-based applications on the AS400 / IBM i platform
Participate in application enhancements, bug fixes, and production support activities
Manage code promotion and deployment activities using ALDON
Work closely with business users, analysts, and technical teams to deliver solutions
Perform database-related activities involving DB2 and SQL
Support integration activities across enterprise systems and applications
Track and manage development tasks, defects, and releases through JIRA
Follow DevOps and SDLC best practices to ensure quality and timely delivery
Assist in root cause analysis and resolution of production incidents
Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security policies, and governance requirements
