Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Roadmap

  1. Conduct in - depth market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback collection to identify market opportunities and define product vision and strategy for the Asia market
  2. Develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with business goals, prioritizing features and enhancements based on user needs, market trends, competition landscape and technical feasibility.
  3. Together with the APAC product marketing head, lead our product portfolio planning and offerings for the new factory in Malaysia.

Product Development

  1. Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, engineering, manufacturing, and especially sales/application throughout the product development lifecycle.
  2. Define detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring clear communication of product functionality to development teams.
  3. Manage product development timelines, resources, and risks, ensuring on - time and high - quality product delivery.
  4. Facilitate agile development processes, conducting regular sprint reviews and retrospectives to continuously improve product development efficiency.

Product Launch and Marketing

  1. Collaborate with the global /regional marketing team and sales team to develop product launch plans, including positioning, messaging, and go - to - market strategies.
  2. Provide product training and support to sales teams to enable them to effectively sell the product.
  3. Monitor product performance post - launch, gathering user feedback and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) such as pipelines, sales and profitability.
  4. Use data - driven insights to drive product improvements, enhancements, and new feature development.

Product Lifecycle Management

  1. Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to end - of - life, making decisions on product enhancements, feature deprecations, and product retirements.
  2. Collaborate with finance and operations teams to manage product pricing, cost - effectiveness, and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering degree with the appropriate level of experience and engineering coursework; MBA is a plus.
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in HVAC or industrial equipment markets
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Strong product management skills, including product strategy development, requirements gathering, and product roadmap creation.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in analyzing financial and sales data, extracting relevant information, and providing recommendations to improve results
  • Skilled in product management with experience in pricing/cost analysis, value proposition development, payback analysis, and product positioning
