Job Description
Competencies Requirements (Education, Training and Experience):
1. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or any related field.
2. Minimum 2–5 years of experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment.
3. Experience in genset, machinery, or enclosure assembly is an added advantage.
4. Strong understanding of assembly processes and material flow.
5. Ability to plan and monitor long lead-time standard parts.
6. Basic leadership and people management skills.
7. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and work orders.
8. Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
9. Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and reporting.
Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Coordination
- Plan and coordinate daily assembly activities based on production schedules and work orders.
- Ensure all materials, standard parts, bought-out items, tools, and manpower are available before production starts.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Logistics to monitor long lead time items and prevent production delays.
- Monitor assembly progress and take necessary actions to achieve production targets.
2. Quality Control
- Ensure assembly work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Support in-process inspections and resolve assembly-related non-conformities.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented for quality issues.
3. Manpower Management
- Supervise daily work assignments of assembly personnel.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity, and work performance.
- Provide on-the-job guidance and basic training to assembly staff.
4. Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and safe working practices.
- Maintain good housekeeping (5S) within the assembly area.
- Report and assist in the investigation of safety incidents.
5. Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare and update daily production reports, assembly progress reports, and material status records.
- Maintain assembly checklists, inspection records, and production documentation.
- Liaise with Engineering, QA/QC, Maintenance, and Purchasing teams to resolve technical or material issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve assembly efficiency and reduce production delays.
