About the Role
Assist in leading the finance operations to support company strategic growth and profitability, by overseeing financial management, analysis, compliance, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
1) Financial Management
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes to set financial targets that supports company's growth strategies. Work with leadership team to achieve these financial targets.
- Assist leadership team in prudent cost and profit analysis and management. Ensuring the company optimizes asset utilization and investment.
- Manage end-to-end Project Costing, including material and engineering cost budgeting. Perform project variance analysis to identify potential cost overruns before they impact the bottom line.
- Maintain the Local Price Book and monitor currency fluctuations to ensure margin protection.
2) Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Guide Account Executive to prepare monthly financial reports.
- Analyse monthly financial results against budgets/forecasts, performing variance analysis, and interpreting data for leadership team.
- Develop and maintain KPI Dashboards & Reports to support business management.
3) Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure full adherence and compliance to financial regulations, audit and tax requirements, and company policies.
- Carefully manage company audit and tax by working closely with external auditors and tax consultants.
4) Financial Process Improvement & Digitisation
- Streamline and digitise finance related processes to strengthen company effectiveness and efficiency.
- Ensure data integrity across financial systems to strengthen company effectiveness.
5) Bank Facilities and Grant Management
- Assist Management in planning and applying for Bank Facilities.
- Manage facilities related cost.
- Coordinate bank facilities utilisation & re-payments.
- Assist Management in the documentation and submission for government grants and external funding applications.
- Monitor grant compliance and coordinate fund drawdowns.
6) Team Leadership
- Supervise and coach Account Executive to prepare all financial reports, and ensure accuracy and timely closing.
- Guide Account Executive to support finance related assignments.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, and partial Professional Qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA).
- Experience: at least 5 years of experience in Accounting and Finance.
- Added advantages: Candidates with experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and/or exposure to project-based environments.
Required Skills
- Technical skill: Advanced Excel proficiency, familiar with Autocount or similar accounting software, and have some experience with financial reporting and data visualization tools.
