Job Summary
The Assistant Accounts Manager / Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of accounting and financial operations. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective budget planning, compliance with statutory requirements, and smooth coordination with external auditors. The position requires strong leadership skills and hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Reporting
- Manage, supervise, and monitor daily accounting operations of the department.
- Prepare and review daily sales summaries and operational financial updates.
- Generate monthly financial reports from the accounting system accurately and timely.
- Review monthly balance sheet schedules and ensure proper documentation and maintenance.
Budgeting & Planning
- Prepare and coordinate the company's annual budget.
- Monitor monthly statistics, labor cost reports, and expense analysis.
- Prepare monthly cash flow planning and cash forecast projections.
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate and supervise external auditors during annual statutory audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Complete and submit annual surveys and reports required by government authorities.
Team Management
- Lead, guide, and supervise the accounting team to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Support continuous improvement in accounting processes and internal controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 2 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
