Job Description
Brief Summary
We are looking for a proactive and skilled professional to take on the role of Assistant Director in our Health Service Research & Analytics Department. This position offers the opportunity to lead impactful research initiatives that enhance healthcare delivery and policy.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage research teams to collaborate with clinicians on high-impact health service outcome studies. Design, implement, and assess clinical research projects that align with national healthcare priorities. Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare institutions, academic partners, and government agencies. Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including competitive grants in the healthcare and AI research domains. Mentor junior researchers and contribute to enhancing the department's capabilities. Translate research findings into actionable insights for policy and practice.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Health Services Research, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary teams. At least 4 years of experience in a managerial capacity. Experience in health service operations research or a related field, with a strong understanding of the local healthcare landscape considered an asset. Proven track record in clinical research design, implementation, and evaluation across various project scales. Demonstrated success in securing research grants, particularly in healthcare and AI areas. Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals is an advantage. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement abilities. Strategic mindset with the ability to align research with organizational goals. Passionate about improving healthcare outcomes through evidence-based research. Familiarity with health data analytics and AI applications in healthcare is beneficial. Proven experience in leading teams and collaborating effectively. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, problem-solving, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
