Summary:
We are seeking an Assistant Engineer to support the Manufacturing Engineering team with administrative coordination, documentation management, and cross-department communication. The role involves assisting with daily operations, managing consumables and permits, coordinating procurement of supplies and equipment, and supporting onboarding activities. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively in English, Malay, and Mandarin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist supervisors and engineers with daily operational tasks.
- Support acquisition of consumables and materials.
- Reserve meeting rooms and equipment when required.
- Handle mail, documents, and deliveries.
- Prepare, file, and maintain documentation and version control.
- Assist in preparing and managing contracts and legal documents.
- Support work permit applications and internal access processes.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflows.
- Track and manage departmental assets and equipment.
- Procure office supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English and Malay; Mandarin is an added advantage.
