- Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work, and set performance and development goals for team members, providing mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback
- Train all team members in compliance with governmental and safety regulations, ensuring the team has the tools and equipment to carry out their roles
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other department heads
- Assist with deep-cleaning projects and support the housekeeping team during high-volume periods
- Monitor daily inventory for housekeeping amenities and equipment, and conduct daily inspections for defects
- Support the preparation and monitoring of the hotel's annual budget, with a focus on increasing profitability
- Maintain proper inventory levels, managing cost per room for supplies and labour
- Inspect all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, guest rooms, equipment, linens, and public areas are clean and in good repair, advising team members of deficiencies and providing retraining as needed
- Routinely perform housekeeping duties, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning guest suites, to ensure guest satisfaction
- Respond to guest complaints and special requests, ensuring corrective action is taken to achieve full satisfaction
- Carry out the special requests of guests, VIPs, repeat visitors, and club members
- Maintain and order supplies and equipment in a timely, efficient manner, minimising waste and supporting the hotel's sustainability initiatives
- Maintain procedures for the security of lost and found items
- Perform other duties as assigned; may serve as manager on duty
- Acts as the top supervisory role in the Housekeeping department, deputising for the Executive Housekeeper as required
- Consistent delivery of Regent's cleanliness and presentation standards across all guest rooms, suites, and public areas
- Effective supervision of housekeeping and laundry team members
- Accurate inventory management and cost control for housekeeping supplies and labour
- To thrive in this role and bring poise and precision to the guest journey, you'll need:
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management, or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years housekeeping experience, including supervisory experience
- Experience handling audits and inventory management
- Fluent English required; other languages an advantage
