Our client is a reputable manufacturer of paints, architectural coatings, and building finishing products. They are looking for an Assistant Factory Manager to oversee production operations and drive operational excellence across the factory.

Our client is a reputable manufacturer of paints, architectural coatings, and building finishing products. They are looking for an Assistant Factory Manager to oversee production operations and drive operational excellence across the factory.
Responsibilities
- Support the Factory Manager and oversee daily factory and production operations to ensure production targets are achieved Manage production planning, manpower allocation, raw material availability, and equipment utilization
- Ensure product quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with company policies and standards
- Collaborate closely with Production, Quality Control, R&D, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Finance teams
- Monitor production output, material wastage, equipment downtime, and manufacturing costs
- Ensure the safe handling, storage, and movement of chemicals, raw materials, and finished goods
- Lead, coach, and supervise production personnel while maintaining performance standards and workplace discipline
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EHS requirements, and relevant regulatory standards
- Maintain high standards of 5S, housekeeping, and workplace safety practices
- Prepare production reports, KPI analyses, and operational updates to management
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the paint, chemical, or coatings industry
- Proven experience in factory operations, with strong leadership capabilities in managing overall plant operations and cross-functional activities
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively
- Strong managerial capabilities with the ability to earn trust and respect, maintain discipline, and provide firm leadership to local staff
- Applicants must be Malaysian citizens or possess valid residency and work authorization in Malaysia
