As we enter our next phase of growth towards 100 stores across Southeast Asia, we are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Assistant Finance Manager to strengthen our financial operations and support strategic decision-making.
About the Role
You will play a critical role in managing the company's financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across all finance functions.
This role requires a strong foundation in accounting, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced retail environment.
The Mission
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and closing
- Strengthen financial controls and compliance standards
- Provide insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making
- Maintain healthy cash flow and financial discipline
- Support business expansion with solid financial planning
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full set of monthly management accounts and ensure timely submission
- Prepare quarterly reports for submission to the consolidation team
- Review bank reconciliations and general ledger accuracy
- Monitor and manage daily cash flow position
- Prepare audit schedules and draft financial statements
- Develop budgets and forecasts in line with business growth plans
- Prepare tax computation and monthly deferred tax provision
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and governance requirements
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and tasks assigned by management
Requirements
- Minimum Degree in Accounting or Professional Qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting
- Experience in retail industry (backend finance) is required
- Familiarity with AutoCount accounting software is an added advantage
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong sense of responsibility and ability to meet tight deadlines
- A team player with good communication skills
