ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a sharp, detail-oriented, and commercially minded Assistant Finance Manager to join our growing team. This is a pivotal role — ensuring financial integrity, supporting strategic decision-making, and building a high-performing finance function aligned with our expansion goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead month-end closing and produce management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with actionable insights for leadership.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll and ensure full statutory compliance (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB) with timely and accurate documentation.
• Maintain robust AP/AR, general ledger, and bank reconciliation processes to uphold financial accuracy and internal controls.
• Drive annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis to monitor performance and improve cost efficiency.
• Manage treasury and working capital, optimise liquidity, and ensure timely settlement of all financial obligations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (SST, Income Tax) and coordinate internal and external audit processes.
• Partner with project managers and operations teams on project profitability tracking and tender financial support.
• Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
• Solid knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations, statutory requirements, and applicable accounting standards.
• Proficient in accounting software (SQL Accounting, SAP, or equivalent ERP system).
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and financial reporting capabilities.
• Excellent communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia; thrives in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
