Job Description

Sun Pharma Malaysia, part of one of the world's leading global pharmaceutical companies, is seeking an experienced and resultsdriven Assistant Finance Manager to join our Finance team. This role requires strong technical competencies, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage endtoend finance operations in a fastpaced, compliancedriven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Banking & Cash Management

  • Download and review daily bank statements; prepare daily bank balance reports.
  • Prepare and review bank reconciliations monthly.

Accounts Receivable & Intercompany

  • Handle intercompany reconciliations and confirmations.

Month-End & Quarter-End Closing

  • Invoice posting in SAP.
  • Payment posting in SAP.
  • Perform month-end closing activities, including journal postings, reconciliations, and prepare audit schedules.
  • Review trial balance and prepare monthly financial reports with supporting schedules.
  • BPC, Blackline reporting on quarterly basis.
  • Analyze SBU-wise P&L in Anaplan to identify irregularities.
  • Review Singapore MIS reports and provide commentary.

Compliance, Audit & Tax

  • Support quarterly, interim, and year-end financial audits.
  • Maintain monthly and quarterly compliance checklists.
  • Finalize quarterly tax computations and support the preparation of annual tax returns.
  • Assist with audit, tax, and transfer pricing audits and finalization of related reports.
  • Ensure vendor master data integrity and e-invoicing compliance.
  • Review samples for field staff claims to ensure compliance with internal policies.

Cross-Border Finance Support

  • Manage Singapore statutory, tax, and secretarial compliance.
  • Support secretarial matters for Malaysia operations.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in independently managing month-end and quarter-end closings.
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or manufacturing industries is highly preferred due to regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, and Malaysia & Singapore statutory compliance.
  • Proficient in SAP.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
