What you'll do:

As an Assistant Finance Manager - Financial Reporting based in Selangor, you will play a pivotal role in preparing comprehensive financial statements that adhere to international standards. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with various finance functions including FP&A, tax, and operational teams to ensure seamless group reporting. You will be responsible for reviewing reconciliations, supporting audits, preparing management reports for key stakeholders, and driving improvements in existing processes. Success in this role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively. By fostering open communication channels across departments and championing best practices in financial control, you will contribute significantly to the organisation's overall financial integrity.

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards such as MFRS or IFRS, ensuring precision and compliance at every stage.
  • Ensure timely and accurate group reporting by managing consolidation schedules, intercompany eliminations, and conducting thorough variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support year-end audit processes by acting as the main liaison with external auditors, facilitating smooth communication and efficient resolution of queries.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations regularly to guarantee proper documentation and robust internal controls are maintained throughout the reporting cycle.
  • Prepare management reports along with detailed financial analysis and insightful commentary for various stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal reporting requirements by staying up-to-date on relevant policies and procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing financial reporting processes, templates, and controls to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support the implementation of new accounting standards and evolving reporting requirements by collaborating closely with technical teams.
  • Work collaboratively with FP&A, tax, and operational finance teams to ensure all aspects of financial reporting are accurate and aligned with organisational objectives.
