Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a well-rounded Assistant HR Manager to support core HR functions, with a focus on Industrial Relations, Training & Development, and HR Operations. The role also contributes to Recruitment, Performance Management, and Employee Engagement, ensuring compliance and a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Industrial Relations & Employee Relations

  • Manage employee discipline, grievances, and investigations in compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Draft IR documents including warning letters, show cause letters, and investigation reports.
  • Advise line managers on proper handling of employee conduct and workplace conflict.
  • Support the promotion of a fair, respectful, and legally compliant work culture.

Training & Development

  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and coordinate learning interventions.
  • Organize and monitor internal and external training programs.
  • Manage HRD Corp (HRDF) claims and ensure full compliance.
  • Facilitate onboarding and induction for new hires.

Talent Acquisition & Performance

  • Assist in recruitment activities including job posting, screening, interviews, and offer preparation.
  • Coordinate onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration of new employees.
  • Support performance appraisal exercises and help drive performance improvement initiatives.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure proper maintenance of employee records, HR documentation, and reports.
  • Assist in reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to departments and employees on HR-related matters.
  • Participate in employee engagement activities and internal communication efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • 46 years of progressive HR experience, with strong exposure in IR, L&D, and Recruitment.
  • Familiarity with Malaysian labor laws, IR procedures, and HRDF processes.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and handle sensitive matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
