Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Assistant Key Account Manager to join our Key Account team. This role is crucial in managing and expanding retail partnerships, building strong customer relationships, and executing impactful sales and promotional strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow assigned key accounts to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, merchandisers, and decision-makers in retail chains.
- Negotiate trading terms, product listings, and promotional plans with customers.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities.
- Ensure product visibility, availability, and merchandising plan execution at store level.
- Collaborate with marketing and supply chain teams to ensure timely product delivery and campaign execution.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and account reviews to management.
- Manage in-store activities such as promotional events, product launches, and sampling programs.
Job Requirements
Education
- Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Sales, Key Account, or related roles.
- Prior experience in FMCG or a similar industry is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with modern trade customers and key account management.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of retail dynamics, promotions, and sales planning.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- A proactive team player with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Other Requirements
- Based in Klang Valley or willing to relocate.
