Oversee day-to-day operations of the Finance and Accounts Division, ensuring efficient workflows and timely task completion
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities, providing guidance and technical support to team members
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department, focusing on process optimization and compliance with regulatory developments.
Lead, motivate, and develop the Finance & Accounts team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
Conduct regular performance reviews, set objectives, and provide feedback to team members.
Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits and ensure timely submission of audited financial statements.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Monitor financial performance and provide insights to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
Monitor and manage the company's cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and operations.
Job Requirements
Professional qualification such as Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), CPA, or equivalent is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of financial accounting, financial reporting, and accounting standards (MPERS / MFRS).
Good understanding of taxation, statutory compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with relevant legislation such as the Companies Act 2016, Accountants Act 1967, and Financial Reporting Act 1997.
Knowledge of Malaysian Institute of Accountants by-laws on professional ethics and conduct.
Experience using accounting software and financial systems.
Ability to analyze financial data, resolve accounting issues, and support decision-making.
Basic understanding of audit standards and audit processes.
Awareness of the economic and regulatory environment affecting financial reporting.
Candidates must have the legal right to work in Malaysia.
