The Opportunity

The Global High Net Worth (GHNW) team is a team responsible for the sourcing and onboarding of global HNW customers to the Enterprise through a global distribution and operations team. They facilitate the onboarding of customers within the chosen business unit. Our focus is to establish a future-ready organization that provides the global customer a white-glove experience expected by our distribution partners and their private bank customers, and one that works in harmony with the BUs and their other channels. The role of Assistant Manager, GHNW Planning and Forecasting includes preparing daily sales reporting, monthly new business and in force earnings forecast, monthly new business reporting and annual business planning. This role reports to the Manager, Actuarial Business Management. The successful candidate will be required to operate with dexterity, demonstrating strong focus in driving outcomes as well as being flexible and willing to play an active, behind-the-scenes role. This role offers first-hand experience in working with senior leaders across multiple functions while driving performance through transformation initiatives. Successful candidate must be able to excel under pressure and are eager to learn, contribute, and grow, analyze financial and operational data to track performance and facilitate reporting and decision making.

Responsibilities

New Business Financial Reporting and Forecast

  • Support monthly financial reporting and forecast exercises, to produce financial projections of annualized premium equivalent (APE), new business value (NBV) and new business contractual service margin (NBCSM).

  • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to support strategic decision-making.

  • Ensure timely submissions with good quality to senior management and regional stakeholders.

  • Monitor actual business performance against forecast and provide quality analysis on variances and key business drivers to help drive company growth.

Policyholder Experience (PHE) Monitoring

  • Assist in PHE monthly monitoring and forecast exercise and ensure accurate and timely submission to Regional Office.

  • Analyze trends and provide insights to improve customer experience and retention.

Annual Budget and Planning

  • Support annual planning cycle, including preparation of financial projections for new business metrics and Core Earnings.

  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders across functions to ensure alignment and completeness of input.

Ad-hoc Analysis and Strategic Support

  • Respond to urgent and complex requests for financial analysis related to new business and earnings.

  • Provide actuarial insights to support business initiatives, performance reviews, and transformation projects.

Provide actuarial support to strategic initiatives such as:

  • Takaful product development and financial modelling

  • New market entry or distribution strategies

  • Administration system user-acceptance testing and implementation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure actuarial integrity and business alignment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial
  • Between 3 to 5 years of working experience
  • Computer Proficiency - AXIS, Ms Office
  • Strong organizational, modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders
