Job Title: Assistant Manager, Business Strategy (open to hiring at a lower grades)
(Commercial Planning/Inventory Strategy/Performance Management)
Function Purpose:
This role sits at the intersection of business performance, inventory planning, and cross-functional execution. You will support country-level objectives by translating data into decisions. Beyond numbers, this role requires strong judgement & ownership. Balancing data, business logic, and operational constraints to drive results.
Key Responsibilities
1.Business performance & tracking
- Track weekly and monthly performance across sales, inventory, pricing and operations.
- Maintain dashboards and reports that clearly show what's working, what's not, and what needs attention.
- Help with forecasting, budgeting and target tracking.
- Highlight risks early and suggest practical actions.
2.Inventory planning & stock allocation
- Plan demand at SKU level (model, series, storage, grade) based on sales trends, campaigns and seasonality.
- Allocate and rebalance stock acrossOnline & Offlinechannels.
- Make judgement calls when stock is tight, balancing speed, margin, ageing and customer experience.
- Work with teams to ensure stock readiness for campaigns and peak periods.
3.Inventory health, ageing & pricing
- Monitor inventory ageing and slow-moving stock.
- Drive actions such as repricing, promotions, bundling or reallocation when needed.
- Track buy-in and sell-out pricing to protect margins.
- Support pricing decisions with market and competitor insights.
4.Dashboards, tools & process improvements
- Own and improve dashboards and planning tools (Excel, QS).
- Build simple, usable tools that help teams make better decisions.
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies in current processes and suggest improvements.
- Work with ops and tech teams to improve data accuracy and system logic.
5.Cross-functional coordination
- Work closely withSales, Procurement, Operations, Marketing, Finance and Customer Service.
- Align teams on priorities, timelines and execution plans.
- Support campaign planning, execution and post-campaign reviews.
- Follow up on action items and ensure things don't fall through the cracks.
6.Ad-hoc & strategic support
- Support management on special projects and deep dives when needed.
- Prepare materials for reviews and decision-making.
- Take ownership of problems and see them through to resolution.
