Role Summary
The Assistant Manager Corporate Planning & Projects supports the development, tracking and
execution of corporate plans, strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects within Base
Maintenance Malaysia (BMM).
This role functions as a corporate PMO and planning coordinator, ensuring alignment across
departments, timely milestone delivery, and structured reporting to Management and Group
HQ.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Planning & Performance Tracking
Support the development and consolidation of annual corporate plans and key
initiatives
Track KPIs and performance metrics across departments
Coordinate periodic business performance reporting for Management and HQ
Prepare dashboards and management presentation materials
Monitor progress against corporate objectives and flag delays or risks
2. Strategic Project Management (PMO Function)
Coordinate cross-functional strategic initiatives (e.g. expansion plans, capability
development, digitalisation, talent pipeline initiatives)
Develop and maintain project timelines, trackers and risk logs
Facilitate project meetings and document action items
Follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely closure of deliverables
Escalate issues where necessary to Management
3. Management & HQ Reporting
Support preparation of management reports, board materials and strategy updates
Consolidate inputs from Operations, HR, Finance and other departments
Ensure accuracy and consistency of reported data
Assist in preparing presentation decks for corporate reviews
4. Government & Institutional Programme Support
Support coordination of government-linked initiatives and industry programmes
Track deliverables, reporting timelines and compliance requirements
Liaise with internal departments to ensure fulfilment of commitments
5. Process & Coordination Improvement
Identify inefficiencies in cross-functional coordination
Recommend improvements to enhance tracking, reporting and accountability
Implement structured reporting templates and project documentation standards
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics or related field
47 years of experience in corporate planning, strategy, PMO, consulting or project
management
Experience in aviation, engineering, infrastructure or regulated industries is preferred
Strong analytical and data consolidation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience supporting management reporting and cross-functional
