The incumbent is responsible to drive and coordinate the implementation of the credit control policy for general takaful business.
He/she provides leadership to minimize the provision for bad and doubtful debts for all sales channels in ensuring that the Group's profit and targets are achieved via proper management of contribution receivables and payables.
The position is to plan, supervise, monitor and coordinate the overall benefit and commission payment to ensure efficient payments, in accordance with regulatory requirements to support corporate goals and objectives.
Ensure department's adherence to establish procedures and processes and ensure that internal and external audit requirements are met. Continuous improvements in procedures and practices.
Manage the administrative requirements of Agency payouts including record keeping, calendar management and timely reporting.
Review and coordinate collection of outstanding contributions to minimize provision for bad and doubtful debts for all sales channels in ensuring that the Group's profit and targets are achieved. Review Impairment to ensure timely and accurate submission.
Review clearing of statement of account reconciliation of and coordinate clearing of outstanding reconciliation items with Brokers as per JPI 11/2001.
Manage and provide guidance to staff for them to carry out their work more efficiently.
Provide guidance and direction to all staff in unit. Responsible for self. Development in all areas.
Job Requirement
Possess at least a Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance and/or a Professional Accounting Qualification
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Insurance/Takaful industry or related field.
