About the role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Engineering/ Maintenance to join our dynamic team at Malayan Flour Mills Berhad in Pasir Gudang, Johor. In this full-time position, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring the efficient and reliable performance of our production facilities.
What you'll be doing
Developing and implementing maintenance strategies to optimise plant and equipment performance
Coordinating and monitoring the execution of planned and preventative maintenance activities
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to minimise downtime and maximise production output
Analysing maintenance data and providing recommendations for process improvements
Managing and supervising the engineering and maintenance team to deliver high standards of service
Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the company's overall operational objectives
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar engineering/maintenance role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of technicians and engineers
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues
Proficient in project management techniques and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and safety standards
PLC & automation experience would be added advantage.
